Lucille Evans Thorpe 89, died Thursday, July 02, 2009 at Savannah Specialty Care Center. Mrs. Thorpe was a native and longtime resident of Savannah. She was a member of Calvary in Savannah, Ladies Elks auxiliary, Savannah Women's Golf Association, Windsor Forest Association and the Lavida Golf Club. Mrs. Thorpe was an avid golfer, traveler, cook and gardener.
Surviving is her sister, Mary S. Barton of Savannah, her nieces, Becky Kolgaklis, Nonie Youmans, Penny Butler and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Services will be Monday, July 6, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. in Bonaventure Cemetery with Dr. John S. Connell officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ted Kolgaklis, Brooks Youmans, Bart Youmans and Ryan Youmans.
Remembrances: Calvary of Savannah or Hospice Savannah Inc.
